Born and raised in Tennessee, Michael grew up in a small southern town surrounded by nature and historic architecture that inspired him to explore photography. In April 2008, Michael got the chance to relocate to a much larger city, Los Angeles, CA to pursue his passion and further education in photography. Shortly after arriving, Michael joined with a group of local photographers, LA Shooters that would go on a few outings a month to photograph new places and inspire each other to better their craft. Through their advice and constructive criticism, Michael has become a very strong photographer in his favorite field of nature and architecture.

Fun Facts:
Michael’s nickname, Sparky, was developed by his High School classmates because of his energetic and outgoing personality.
Michael’s handlebar mustache was the inspiration for his photography logo that was created by fellow artist friend, Dick Cherry.
